Be Our Own Leader
If you copy or model over me and my ideas, it can only means I am already ahead of you. If you surpass me, you are giving me new concepts, ideas and thinker to stay further ahead of you before you realise. If you try to stop me, you are raising your white flag to conceive defeat. If you backstab me, you are stabbing your own bravery to stand in front of me for confrontation and challenges. If you try to create disturbance, you must be feeling very disturbed now. Always be your own leader.
We are the superstars on 17th October 2008
Today we were treated as though we are in the glamourous spotlight in the heart of Singapore, we were the greeted with well wishers from all over the world (visitors and tourists who walked past us, young and elderly) "Congratulations!" were heard along the way with sincere smiles on their face :) We had our wedding photo shots taken today, from Botanic garden to my dream photo spot along the railway and into the sunset horizon in the eastern end of Singapore. We had our closest moments together. It is a special feeling for us, i can see the passion in her eyes and she can feel the warmth from my smiles. We know we can keep our dreams together if we put our hearts into it and that has already been captured in all of our shots today...
Bangkok with a Bang
Bangkok, it's our first destination of the many trips that we plan to go, we were welcomed by the beautifully decorated yet lavished executive service apartment that is situated among the rows and rows of old buildings, you can't help but to notice it among the busy streets. On the road, the ever congested traffic never change, the air pollution never change but my feeling has changed, it changed when I finally came face to face with the famous four-face Buddha, he was there seems to greet us and seems to be telling me 'Finally' and my immediate reply was 'Yes,finally I am here, she brought me here, Thank You' We also managed to visit the famous Jade Buddha which has attracted thousands of visitors from all over the world to his temple despite the political unrest that was going on (when i say people from all over the world simply means more foreigners than the locals visited the place) Overall, we had a great time shopping, trying out various authentic Thai food and getting from places to places together. It's not so much on what we bought there but more on how we experince lives together as a couple. This is just the begining to the Journey of experiencing lives together, life does not stop here, it moves you and us everyday. Expect the unexpected and expect the expected, you will move along in life and not life move you.
What brand are you?
Our name is our own brand, our own brand is what we want people to know about us. What we are made of is our character, our behaviour, our speech, our thinking, our personalities and the way we treat this world are all inputs that make our brand heard. Never think that what you do or said today can escape other's eyes or erase from one's memories. Words can pierce thru hearts which is sharper than a knife, actions can hurt one's feelings which is worse than just a bruise. So today before you say any words or take any drastic actions, think what kind of brand are you presenting in front of yourself today.
Economy crisis or one's responsibilities?
I believe even if you are not a daily newspaper reader nor a financially trained expert, you might have heard, seen on TV news or overheard Kopitiam uncles and market aunties saying 'Hang Zeng Pai (Market bad!)' No, its not your typical vegetable market that prices of eggs goes up by $0.20 because all the chickens are taking MC due to bird flu. It's the credit crisis that send all the world's biggest banks, investment and credit firms tumbling down to pieces like the aftermath of Tsunami. Good thing the sperm banks are still left standing. Well, it's still the best investment bank to put all your 'eggs' into the next generation, isnt it? All these credit crisis arised believed not only due to slow economy but also more on one's greed to borrow more and more money than what they can afford on properties and housing...my grandma used to remind me when i was young 'Bite your food slowly! Don't eat so fast and swollow everything! WAIT YOU CHOKE YOU KNOW!'
Traditions; are they fixed before our time?
Traditions, its something we would like to preserve or change? It's something that we need to follow because it's passed on from generations to generations which we did not have a chance to vote, choose, change, set or decide or it's something like a myth that if we don't follow, something undesirable events or misfortune will fall on one miserably? What if I was in the era when traditions was set, could i have done it another way? Would I be setting certain regulations or rules that my next generation will choose to bend? It's not that I choose not to follow traditions or believing certain myths...I just want to know, would I or you have set it in another way if I was in that generation...
What makes you different?
What makes us different from one another? Most people will think 'I need to have a bigger car to be different, I need a big house with swimming pool, I need the latest model handphone that I can grab etc etc'....
But what really makes us different is not what we have, what we own or possessed. Its inside us that make us different, it's our character, our attitude towards people and life, our personalities, speech and words we choose to use, that gracious heart that forgive...Yes, you may tell me into my face, "Its not easy, everyone knows but not everyone can be a saint or can follow, you talk only!" With that attitude of yours and that answer can easily tell "Yah, you are indeed common" You got to start tuning your mindset.
